EDUCATION:

Ph.D in Leadership Studies, California Baptist University, expected graduation 2023.

M.A.: Coaching and Athletics Administration, Concordia University Irvine, 2017.

B.S: Business Administration, University of Redlands, 2013.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

As Associate Athletics Director of Compliance, Kent will serve our 23 teams and work with student athletes and coaches. He has a passion for serving student athletes as he believes athletics played a significant role in his own life. He played baseball and was an assistant coach at the University of Redlands. He went on to work as a Project Manager within the Marketing Operations department at Esri in Redlands.

In 2015, Kent returned to higher education as a Sr. Coordinator within the Masters in Coaching and Athletics Administration program at Concordia University Irvine. Throughout his time at CUI, he managed the programs partnerships, recruiting events, operational budget, and directed the California Coaches Conference. He also designed curriculum and taught various courses in the program. What he enjoyed most about his work was the ability to further the athletic field and serve athletic coaches at various levels. 

In 2019, Kent assisted Westcliff’s baseball program as Regional Scouting Coordinator. Kent has also served as a Sports Coach at Harvest Christian Schools in a part time capacity. 

Kent and his wife Samantha welcomed a daughter, Rylie, in October of 2021. Together they reside in Riverside, CA with their two dogs.
