Carelock and Ferreira Break Program Records against Cal Tech

Westcliff Warriors went up to Life Pacific in a two match series against Life Pacific and Cal Tech.

1st match of the day was the battle of the Warriors with Life Pacific coming out with a 3-0 against Westcliff.

The last match of the day was against Cal Tech. This matchup was high intensity with both squads delivering high Kills and Defense.

The Beavers went up quickly 2-0 in sets the next set was a tough bout with the Warriors winning 31-29.

Westcliff were still in the hunt after taking the 4th set to force the 5th and final set.

Unfortunately Cal Tech limited their hitting errors to grab the 5th set to win 3-2 against the Warriors.

There were a lot of standout performers in both of these matches.

Samantha Carelock coming off of her Cal Pac Attacker of the Week Honor deleivered another stellar performance. Carelock shattered two program records that have been standing for 2 years.

Carelock set a new record in Kills and Points in a single match with 29 Kills and 31 Points.

Carelock wasn't the only Warrior that set a new program record on saturday. Amanda Ferreira also set another program record in the setter position.

Ferreira in a single match dished out a total of 48 assists in their 5 set match against Cal Tech.

There were a bunch of other great performers in these matches. Monique Fonoti and Faith Alvior dished out important Kills that kept sets alive.
